with our Christmas hams are gratin potatoes and broccoli or cauliflower cheese head, crispy breaded crust.

Oh, and always have pineapple-mustard sauce or raisins for the ham!

I like better than Thanksgiving dinner.

I do not know who does not like the old green bean casserole mushroom and French onion on top. Made from scratch, with fresh ingredients instead of canned food and a sure winner every time.

Not your traditional Green Bean Casserole

To cover:

2 medium onions, chopped
1 / 4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons Panko breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon salt
A Teflon cooking spray

For beans and sauce:

2 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon salt
1 kg of fresh green beans, washed, trimmed and halved
2 tablespoons butter
12 oz Portabella mushrooms, cut into 1/2-inch pieces and remove them (all woody stems, which) is like trying to eat it to wood
1 / black pepper 2 v. Tea
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup milk

Oven to 475 degrees F.

Combine onion, flour, Panko and salt in a large bowl and mix. Spray sheet a non-stick cooking spray and evenly spread the onions in the pan. Place pan on middle rack of the oven baked until golden brown, about 30 minutes. Mix the onion 2 to 3 times during cooking. When you are done, remove from the oven and take you aside to ask to serve. Turn the oven to 400 degrees F.

While onion is cooking, prepare the beans. Bring a liter of water and 2 tablespoons salt to a boil in an 8-liter pot. Add beans and cook for 5 minutes. Drain in a strainer and immediately place to stop the beans in a large bowl with ice water to the boil. Drain and set aside.

Butter, melted In large skillet over medium heat. Mushrooms, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper and cook, stirring 4 to 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Sprinkle flour over mixture and mix. Cook for 1 minute. Add broth and simmer for 1 minutes. Reduce heat to medium low and add milk. Cook until thickened, stirring occasionally aboutoximately 6 to 8 minutes.

Remove from heat and add 1 / 4 of onion and green beans all. Garnish with remaining onions. Place in oven and bake until bubbly, about 15 minutes. Remove and serve immediately
